When a gifted ballerina and an equally promising young composer join the legendary Ballet Lermontov, run by the autocratic Lermontov himself, the stage is set for a unique love triangle. Torn between her love of dance and her young suitor, the doomed ballerina's agonizing struggle is told in a swirl of dramatic song and dance.
